The wave-like character of the wood structure is due to a botanical peculiarity that has not yet been fully understood: the wavy or curly growth. Flame maple is particularly sought after in instrument making.
The specially compressed wood is manufactured by Swiss Wood Solutions, a spin-off of Empa and ETH Zurich.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Length: 140 mm.
Construction kit: Push device and tip made entirely from nickel-plated brass.
Surface treatment: Oiled and polished.
Ink: Schmidt Refill 1011 or Schneider Express 225, width size M, ink colour: black or blue, international norm “G1”. Document quality ink.
